The first of these photos was taken on Nov 24, 2022 at 4PM the second was taken on Dec 26, 2022 at 3:46 PM.
The location for both photos was at my older Son's home in Alexandria, VA.
The "Take It!" came after having finished a great Thanksgiving Dinner with my Son and his family was advised - they were forming a new tradition of putting written tags stating what they were thankful for during the year - onto a small tree to serve as a written reminder of their blessings. I wrote out the tag - knowing they have great neighbors and thus - it would serve them as a reminder attached to their home and family.
The second photo - of the tree itself - I walked away from the initial dinner not having taken. I went back for yet another wonderful dinner on Christmas and having vowed to take a picture of the tree on that occasion. Having gotten caught up in all the great food and gift exchanges - I walked out once again - not having taken a picture of the tree which had been supplemented with Christmas ornaments. The day after Christmas I asked my Son to take a photo of the tree and email it to me - which he promptly did.
I therefore am able to pass along this photo/story after a month of delay and hope others will some how take this great example of a worthy tradition and perhaps put it into place for themselves.
In this world of what is in turmoil much of the time - we have much to be thankful for.
Taylor joins me in sending everyone our best wishes for a great New Year!!

I wish I had neighbors to be thankful for, they don't like us.

Oh what a cute idea! We might need to steal this idea.

We always sat around the table and said what we were thankful for, but I think I might like this better.
