The location was next to the bed in a luxury hotel in Las Vegas.
The "Take It!" came from being shown this bit of luxury by the bell person when I checked in to this huge luxury hotel on the ' Strip ' in Las Vegas. It had been some time since I had been
to this city and was there for a very brief visit to attend a banquet being held to honor a very good friend.
I do not consider myself to be under traveled - but I must say - this was the first time I had ever seen such a grand display of luxury. To be able to lay in bed and open the drapes (or the
sheer )
was in my mind - " quite a show "
Needless to say - I gave this touch of a button action several test runs and found it to be an item I would like to include in my next home ( yea right - lolol. ) All kidding aside -
it was lots of fun to enjoy such luxury.
The dinner for my friend was a " Roast " and all I can say that as an audience member it was an enjoyable evening. I do not think I could survive such a dinner if it were put on for me -
lol. The honoree is a friend of long standing and very well thought of and liked, so what was said was carefully crafted and found him laughing throughout the event. As is the custom,
at the end of the dinner he had a chance to respond to all who had spoken before him. His rebuttals were classic and had everyone in stitches.
I left Las Vegas the next morning not having spent any money gambling, for while it is my last name - I have found over the years that it is not a skill I have acquired.
The After Take:To those who I have shown this photo to - all were quite amazed that such an accessory exists. Many had Las Vegas experience stories to tell which were fun to listen to.
If one has not been to Las Vegas, it is worth the trip for I do not believe there is any place on earth that has such awe inspired man made wonders almost at every turn.
Wishing you my best
Bruce

I think I'd still probably take care of it the old fashion way.

I remember these! My husband and I were in Las Vegas a few years back and our room had these. It was funny to sit there and watch him open and close them like a kid.
