The location was in Washington DC - near the White House.
The "Take It!" Was an easy choice as I have been looking for an exceptional photo to use for the banner for this site to honor the arrival of Spring. The early morning was still
relatively warm from the day before and the air clear with it still being dark. I cannot ever recall being out and about at this time in the past with the blossoms being in early
bloom. To catch them illuminated by the street lights was very different and quite visually pleasing.
The Cherry Blossom Festival will be different this year as we are still having to be careful with the pandemic. There will be far fewer visitors to engage in the splendor of walking on the many
trails and walkways which are lined with these wonderful trees. I do not know of a single person who as spoken about being tired of this great show. For those who have not been here
for the festival - please try to include it in your plans for a future year. There is a sort of magic which one engages in while walking about with the trees as company - the magic is a take home
memory which I believe is a keeper forever.
This photo has been a privilege to have been able to both take as well as share.
Wishing everyone my very best,
Bruce

Wow, this is amazing. I really wish those trees grew here, they are so beautiful. I finally got the chance to see them in person and in full bloom a couple years ago when I chaperoned the class trip to Washington D.C. I did not see them against the backdrop of the moon though.

I keep Bonsai trees as a hobby. A few years ago I had a Bonsai Cherry Blossom tree. They do not thrive where I live, but I was able to keep it alive for about 8 years.

This might be my favorite of all your cherry blossom photos.

I am really hopeful that one day we can take a family vacation to the Cherry Blossom Festival.

Our school just reopened, so we are back in person for our lunches. This is the first one we all looked at together, since before the pandemic started.
