This photo was taken on Saturday January 29, 2022 at 2:26 PM.
The location was near Dupont Circle in Washington DC.
The "Take It!" was an immediate reaction to viewing this set of reflections after stepping out of my car at one of my regular stops. The brightness of the sun was such that the reflections off the windows of the hotel behind me - were very bright and had fairly well defined edges to them as they walked across the street - to end by continuing up the trunk of a tree located on the opposite side of the street. I grabbed my camera which was relatively accessible and snapped the photograph. I took a quick look at the image in the viewing screen on my camera and thought I could probably not do any better - and went into the hotel to conduct my task.
When I came back to the car and looked at the image again on the street - I observed that the image had moved (due to the movement of the sun) and the image - while still bright and clear on the surface of the street - no longer was showing on the trunk of the tree.
Immediately after taking the photograph - I showed it to several people who really liked it. For this showing - I explained what the image was about before placing it in front of each person - I am finding this really facilitates a more enjoyable experience for the viewer - thus for me as well.
After several showings as described above - along with me looking at the picture again and again - I discovered something. The reflections of the windows which are on the street - have a similarity to an x-ray of a foot - showing the bones in the foot. The next time I did my route - I showed the same picture to those who had seen it before - and shared my discovery of the x-ray. Everyone was able to join me in the imagination and we all had another several moments of ooh's and ah's enjoyment.
I hope everyone has enjoyed this photograph as much as I have. I am grateful for the good fortune to happen to be at the right place at the right time.
Best wishes. Bruce

Our oldest son is visiting and saw us looking at this. He said it looks like they don't even need a crosswalk at that intersection because the reflection does it for them, lol.

I was thinking it looks like an x-ray, then I saw you thought the same thing.

Boy, this one is loaded with reflections. I bet it looks cool from an aerial view.

I don't see the x-ray, to me it looks like chromosomes.

The greeting cards I won arrived a couple weeks ago. My sincerest apologies for just now thanking you, but I am old and it just slipped my mind. The pictures are beautiful! I already sent one to my old college roommate.
When I look at these photos, every once in awhile I notice your shadow in them. When my son was a child, he loved these books called Where's Waldo. Have you ever heard of the series? I think it would be fun to take that idea and apply it to your shadows.
