Street Mache Matador with Cape Flowing

The location was in the City Center District of Washington DC.

The "Take It!" came with my not knowing what I would find - but after several turns of the photograph the image of a Bull Fighter emerged. As a child I witnessed a number of Bull Fights in Mexico as my Father was a fencer in his youth and this sport interested him. While there was a lot of pageantry surrounding it - I never thought it was it was that great. There was no question about the skill of the Bull Fighters - but the end result was always the same and did not appeal to me.

The highlight of these excursions to Mexico was having a great dinner after the above show in a restaurant that was in a cave. The food was excellent and there was always great live music.

Amazing how a piece of paper in the street can bring back memories from long ago.

I think Bull Fighting has been banned in most of the world at this time.
