The location was from my back deck at my home in Bethesda, Maryland.
The "Take It!" came as the sunset was beginning to fade as the sun dropped further into the horizon. I had been watching the color display and lamenting that due to the trees I could not
get an unobstructed shot of the splendor of it all. I have had the good fortune to be in locations in the past that have offered clear views of sunsets which influenced my mild dismay.
For what reason I do not know - I decided to try to use the branches of the leafless trees to possibly give it a different texture from former photographs of this awesome subject taken
elsewhere. Somehow after several shots - it seemed to work.
The After Take: Several to whom I showed this to - immediately suggested that I enlarge it and have it framed. I could not ask for a finer complement.
Many times, splendor can be found, in seeing things just as they are.
Here is hoping a great sunset arrives for your viewing pleasure, wherever you may be.

Usually people try so hard to capture the perfect sunrise or sunset. What you did here is really unique with the silhouette of the branches.
