The Timing is Just Right

8/25/17

This photo was taken on July 11, 2017 at 5:53 AM.

The location was in North West Washington DC in the Embassy Row area.

The "Take It!" came as I was departing from a regular stop in my route and was about to merge into the street.  I happened to look accross the street and saw the reflection in the windows of the second story in the building facing me.

The reflection was matched up so perfectly, that it almost looked like it was wallpaper inside the room behind the glass. The way the reflection ends on its right side and the actual features that are in the room become more alive and distinct - is all a part of the mystery of the catch.

The After Take: Found me looking at this photo a number of times before submitting it for the site.  It just seemed to be too perfect in how it came together - but then, some things are like that.

I have looked at this building for years and never saw this match up before.  As the title tries to imply - it was timing.

Wishing each of you, my best for a happy day.

Bruce

Hey Everyone! Just a quick update. Bruce had a quick surgery recently. During his recovery period we will only be posting one new photo each week. Once he has recovered we will go back to two per week.

Bruce sends his best wishes and regards. Thank you all for your continued support and participation with Whutzzat.

I remember decades ago when my daughter was two or three she saw her reflection for the first time on the side of a building, she was so confused and excited. She thought another child was on the other side of the glass just as excited to see her.

It's like those skyline wallpapers that are meant to make people feel like they're outdoors.

Funny how sometimes we look at things for years before suddenly noticing something.

I believe Embassy Row was the area we stayed in with the students for their D.C. trip.

You must be a morning person. I've read plenty of these where you say you took the photo while you're working and it's anywhere between 3am and 10am. I would not be able to handle those hours, I'm definitely the sleep in type.

What a pretty photograph! Do they leave the street lights on 24/7 there? It's odd for me to see them on during daylight hours.

Man oh man. Teri, "MHampy" and I are really looking forward to having these go back to two per week. Our lunches truly have not been the same with only one per week.

Of course your rehabilitation is paramount and we hope you are doing well. Haven't seen any comments from you here in the comments section in quite some time so I do hope all is well.
