An Angel's Wing?

6/24/18

This photo was taken on June 15, 2018 at 7:22 AM.

The location was a few short steps from the site of 'Hop Scotch Drying Pattern.'

The "Take It!" came as I approached this reflection pattern and it caught my eye. The angle of the sun was giving this form strongly lit bounce and thus sharper edges to the shape produced. I took several photos from what became the bottom of the wing, then moved to the top of the wing to find out if there might be a difference from this new location. It turned out to be a move with a huge reward. The wing shape became far more extended, thus more recognizable as a wing.

The After Take: I showed this photo to numerous people shortly after having taken it as well as the next day. All agreed it looked like a wing, and by virtue of its size and shape, seemed to agree that it looked like what we have seen as portrayals of an Angel.

Upon closer inspection, I found that the top to bottom lines in the reflection were created by a poster like advertisement that was posted inside the window upon which the sun was doing its bounce. The poster (while still looking very good) had been made up of vertical strips which had separated forming gaps which translated into the vertical wing line details.

Having gotten several photos of this unusual shape, I moved on to my objective location. Upon my return to this location - found the reflection was no longer there. The time of departure and return was no more than 5 minutes. Good fortune was with us.

Wishing you the best for a fine day,

Bruce

It'd be hilarious if there was another one on the other side of the building.

Oh the superintendent at our school would just love this one. I'm going to have to show it to him.
