This photo was taken on June 4, 2013 at 10:40 AM.
The location was in the lobby of a very nice hotel in Tyson's Corner, Virginia.
The "Take It!" came from my passing this way at a different time of day than I usually do, and thus a more full amount of sunlight was streaming through the overhead skylight in the atrium.
This bit of extra light added strength to the reflection of the center of the skylight into the marble border of the carpet which is immediately under the skylight. The marble almost
appears to have been replaced with the reflection. The angular shape of the reflection almost is the same shape as the blade in a box knife.
The After Take: To those that I showed this to - all seemed to like it after I went to some lengths to explain it. I know it took me some time passing by this image for it to sink in as to what I
was really looking at. Thus I enjoyed the explanations for it was an exercise in putting into words what I had difficulty in comprehending for some time.
Hope you enjoy the subtleness of this photo.
Wishing you a great day,
Bruce

Really cool floor pattern. Not sure which I like better the marble or the carpet, all I know is I wouldn't mind either.

It does have a box cutter blade shape to it. Too cool..
