This photo was taken on November 3, 2016 at
9:26PM.
The location was at the entrance to a large and great hotel in
Crystal City, Virginia.
The "Take It!" came in a flash. I was running very late
and was actually at this location after nightfall. I got out of the car and took a few steps forward and was standing in front of the car, when I happened to look back at the vehicle and
saw this ever so clear reflection of the overhead lights in the windshield.
This is one of those unintentional placement things that one
cannot explain. Just, with gratitude in having been lucky enough to see it, take the photo and move along, because that is what is called for. The entrance was busy and the staff is
always kind enough to accommodate me for a short while.
The After Take: Happened immediately after I took the photo.
I showed it to the doorman on duty who could not believe what we were looking at. I readily agreed with him, and we both moved about our business in a state of wonder.
I
was tempted to have a title that refered to a sun screen that some place behind the windshield to protect the dashboard and the steering wheel when the car is going to be sitting in the sun for
any length of time. The photo just did not quite match up with this comparison as the image is so much more comprehensive, and I think, has more intrigue.
Funny how a delightful encounter or image can carry one
through what could have been a cause for being grumpy as my having been late was the foundation for. When I finally got home, even though it was late, I had a spring in my step.
Hopefully you have enjoyed this image as much as I
have.
Wishing you my best,
Bruce

Well I suppose they don't have heaters on the outside and it does get very cold there. Ha Ha. Stay warm!

Does the large and great hotel happen to be a Hyatt? The tail of the bus to the right is what gave it awat.

I've taken pictures on my phone like this before. When something reflected off the car from a cealing and gave a really cool design. I don't have your skill in noticing things, but I at least have caught things like this before.

Our youngest, once I explained what a quilt was, said "that's not a blanket!" Too cute.

The quilt title works better than the sun screen idea would have, good on ya for going with the better title. Very fitting.

What kind of car do you have? I am sure you've probably told us somewhere in your musings but I cannot remember.
This is a neat photo. I'd agree with you that you were lucky to catch it, but these things seem to come naturally for you.

Thanks to everyone for their kind and fun comments. I enjoy them immensely. I am lucky enough to have a Toyota Prius V as my car canvas and faithful steed to take me from here to there and back again. Some storms are in the forecast - so look for some related photo/stories. Please stay safe. Thanks again and great wishes for all.
