This photo was taken in the mid afternoon of January 13th 2012
The location was at the beach in Aruba
The "Take It !" came from how focused the rays from the sun were going upward from behind the fronting cloud. There was a cloud close enough above it to catch the beams, just great. The catch cloud has a hint of a face that is slightly turned to the side and is taking the full force of the rays. The catch cloud is fully effected with the sun bleaching away part of its darkness. The inclusion of the tops of some palm trees let the viewer know there were some breezes present.
The After Take: Each time I look at this photo I am reminded of how fortunate I am in having been encouraged to start this site. My quest to capture views has been enhanced. This is something that I did not give much thought to before getting in to it, but I must say, it has really happened and I am grateful that it has. There is some wow in this photo to the observer, and it is usually the word used in a spontaneous reaction to first seeing it. I must quickly say, the chance to take these pictures is a gift, and while I can get overwhelmed in the viewing of the subjects, I remain humbled by what nature and circumstance can provide.
Thanks for joining me in the happy reminiscing from Aruba.
Bruce

I am curious, is this picture what created the next picture? It looks like the sun shining through after a good rain.

I had a friend who used to refer to this as "Jesus light." Good catch, Bruce!
