Cotton Candy Crush Clouds

This photo was taken on January 2nd 2023 at 4:27 PM.

 

The location was at my home in Beltsville, Maryland.

 

The "Take it!" Came as I stepped out of my car after finishing my part time job and arrived at home.

 

There was just something about this cloud cover which captured my eye. Perhaps it was the pattern of the clouds in relationship with the late afternoon position of the sun. It could also have been a symbolic " soft landing " from having done battle with the afternoon traffic.

 

What ever it was - it was soothing and an uplift to a long day.

 

Here is hoping you may also encounter a soft sky to end a day that took longer than usual.

    Did you pick the title knowing about the mobile game Candy Crush? My daughter read that and asked if she could use the phone to play Candy Crush.

    I applaud you for battling traffic and taking the time to grab a photo. After I have a battle with traffic I go home wanting to yell at a door or something.

    In case you are curious - I believe these are called Altocumulus clouds. I used to teach a science class, though it has been awhile.

    I feel like I have been trained to look for shapes in the clouds after browsing your website for so long. I sat here looking for a few minutes before moving on to the reading.
